About Farmers for Free Trade

Farmers for Free Trade is a 501(c)(4) non-profit dedicated to supporting and expanding export opportunities for American farms and ranches.

Farmers for Free Trade informs the public about the benefits of free trade and mobilizes farmers and ranchers to take action to support beneficial trade agreements.

Why Support Free Trade?
Free Trade is critical to U.S. agriculture. Agriculture in the U.S. consistently runs a trade surplus and agricultural trade supports over 1,000,000 U.S. jobs.

Farmers for Free Trade is supported by thousands of farmers and agricultural businesses as well as the following leading U.S. ag organizations.

NPPC is proud to get behind this bipartisan effort to build a sustainable network of support for trade among our nation’s farmers and ranchers. Exports are vital to the financial livelihoods of pork producers. We need help getting the word out more broadly in rural America that trade generates jobs and prosperity.

—NPPC President Ken Maschhoff

The American Farm Bureau is proud to join Farmers for Free Trade to help educate Americans about the importance of trade to farmers and farm income. More than 20 percent of farm income comes from agricultural exports. Farmers and the rural communities that benefit from a strong ag economy cannot afford to lose that income.

—Farm Bureau President Zippy Duvall

Voice of the Farmer

Check out our new national TV spot that highlights the damaging impacts of new tariffs on American famers. The ad features Indiana soy and corn farmer – and former Indiana state trooper – Brent Bible whose soy operation relies heavily on exports to China. We are urging the Administration to listen to farmers like Brent who are speaking out about the damaging impacts of trade policies that tax the ag exports they rely on.
